Nothing much happen today.
Except a discouraging email I received.
About some stupid thing that I did. (actually I dont really think it's stupid)
Felt really lousy about it.
Cos the matter was blown out of proportion.
And I am not sure if I got anyone into trouble.

My legs are so tired today.
Imagine shopping from 1pm-8pm on high-heel.
Haha. Yes I admit I am a vain pot.
But I didnt expect the invitation.

The gals were really really bored.
Asked me to bring them out.
So that they could have legitimate excuse to hang out late.
(Hey, that's making use of me!)

I had such great time hanging out with them.
Especially at Topshop.
They gave so much opinion.
When it comes to the type of clothes and shoes I should wear.
Some good.
Some..erm...I would chose to ignore.
(Sorry gals, I really like the green blouse but wld probably get the black one with the frills)

Along the way, I bumped into a couple of friends.
Got teased about bringing the kiddos out.
Haha. It does look like I am bringing my own kids.
And it was great fun.
(Agnes tks for tagging along)

GOD SAID..
Don't look to the bigness of your need.
Look to the bigness of your God
Your circumstances are hindrances to seeing My abilities

If you keep your eyes on your circumstances
The devil will use your circumstances to defeat
You and accuse the Word of God
The written and the Living Word.

Your victory is in keeping your eyes on the bigness of
Your God and His ability

HE HAS PROMISED..
To take you STEP by STEP by STEP not all at once
But STEP by STEP and
Each step will be a miracle.

Let go and let God!

Tks sister for the reminder!

Talked to a friend about some issues of the heart.
It seems we never learnt from history, from examples of old.
Why are we so fond of complicating matters?
Why do we not take time to say and do what we are supposed to?

Reminds me of MB's song.
I love this song very much.

"Always On My Mind" - Michael Buble

Maybe I didn't treat you
Quite as good as I should have
Maybe I didn't love you
Quite as often as I could have
Little things I should have said & done
I just never took the time

But you were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

Maybe I didn't hold you
All those lonely, lonely times
And I guess I never told you
I'm so happy that you're mine
If I made you feel second best
Girl, I'm sorry I was blind

You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

Tell me, tell me that your
Sweet love hasn't died
Give me, give me one more chance
To keep you satisfied
Satisfied

Little things I should have said & done
I just never took the time

You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

I bared my soul out.
Buckets of teardrops.
For whatever that has been hidden.
In my secret heart for the last 5 months.

Oh yes, it's been 5 months.
And it still hurts.
To think about it.
To talk about it.

It's been 5 months.
And i still wish things will change.

It's been 5 months.
5 long agony months.

Does your decision still stands as before?
Have you given it enough thots yet?
Is there really no way to save the situation?
No 2nd chance?

Lord, why have you gone silent?

What's wrong with everybody?
Why are they having some kind of trouble keeping up their commitment?
Why have they become so flippant with whatever they are committed to do?
Doesnt anybody care anymore to be a man of their own words?

COMMITMENT - a big word.
Easy to say.
Hard to live it out.

Be responsible for goodness sake.
Stop finding excuses for yourself.
Stop saying you cant help it.

I just read a fren's blog.
I felt so sorry for whoever she is writing about.
Sometimes we think our life's tough.
Wait till you hear stories like what she wrote.
Then you will learn to be more appreciative.
And not take things for granted.

Life can sometimes be hard and miserable.
With enough troubles of its own.
Let's do everyone a favour.
And not add on to its misery.
If you are fond of doing that.
Haha.

Who am I writing about?
I have absolutely no idea.
There are just too many people who makes life harder than it already is.
Scram...scram...scram...

God, catch "our buckets of teardrops" (quote from my fren).
Remind us that you are not too far away from us.
Calm the storms in our life.
As we walk by faith, not by sight.
This is our prayer Lord.

Hide me now.
Under Your wings.
Cover me.
Within Your mighty Hands.

When the ocean rise and thunder roar.
I will soar with You above the storm.
Father You are King over the flood.
I will be STILL know You are God.

Find rest my soul.
In Christ alone.
Know His power.
In quietness and trust.

When the ocean rise and thunder roar.
I will soar with You above the storm.
Father You are King over the flood.
I will be STILL know You are God.

It's been a week since I last blogged.
How time flies.
I have done so much in between.
I will just mention a couple of them.

Erm..let's start with work.

I am glad that I managed to talk to more people about God this week.
Not that anything I can brag about.
In fact, I felt quite guilty that I havnt been doing much telling.
In the past and sometimes even at present.

Honestly, I do enjoy the process of sharing the gospel.
Telling others what I believe.
Explaining and clarifying.
Posing questions raised back to myself.
Trying to be more certain and sure.
Knowing the God of the Bible.

Yet at times, it scares me when I find that I know so little about my God.
Like I am stuck somewhere.
Not moving ahead.
Need to be taught the same truths again and again.

Like what I read in Hebrews recently.

Heb 5:11-14
11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn.
12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!
13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.
14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

It isnt a pleasant thing not growing.
Not learning.

Lord, help me to retain what was taught.
Let me keep your commands and guard your teachings.
Bind them in my fingers and write them on the tablet of my heart.

Talking about what I believe reminds me of another highlight of the week..

WHAT DO YOU STAND FOR?
WHAT DO YOU FIGHT FOR?
WHAT DO YOU LIVE FOR?
WHAT DO YOU DIE FOR?

These are headlines from the movie poster of "Lions for Lambs" which caught my attention.
Thanks to my friend, the one-and-only TD&H, I get to watch the movie (tks for the great time!!).
I was kinda lost in the first part.
But I gradually understood the message it is trying to tell us (but the ending sucks).

I think in life, we all need some form of conviction.
Something that we can stand, fight, live and die for.
Something important enough to drive us to do what we do.
Yet because we all differ in our opinions and convictions.
What we believe in and perhaps hope others around us will agree likewise, may not achieve the results that we want.

Two determined students, Ernest and Arian followed the inspiration of their professor and attempted to do something important in their life.
To join in the fight against the Afghanistan instead of waiting for the war between the two countries to cease.
Unfortunately, clashes of opinion arose between a Senator and a reporter even as they were fighting for their survival in the battlefield.
Which eventually cost them their life.

Was it foolish of them?
I dont think so.
I mean, how many of us would actually have the courage to not only believe but to live out our conviction?

I totally admired them.
For their courage.
Their conviction.
Their determination to stand up for what they believe.
Their fighting spirit.
Their commitment towards each other.
To stand with and by each other.

Not run away.
Not give up.
Not forgetting what they hope for.
What they promised to themselves and to each other.

WHAT DO YOU STAND FOR?
WHAT DO YOU FIGHT FOR?
WHAT DO YOU LIVE FOR?
WHAT DO YOU DIE FOR?

I attended a book launch at The Art Museum yesterday.
Oh yes, I am getting artistic and classy now. Haha.

An old friend of mine had a exhibition showcasing all the photos he has taken around the globe.
He has quite an eye for things that are...beautiful.
Simple things.

Entitled "Life Touching Moments", the photos certainly captured such moments.
A father holding his child's tiny leg.
A group of children staring curiously into the camera lens.
Two child sharing the load of a heavy basket.
The pretty eyes of an orphan from India.
A man in a boat with his dog.
Crashing waves.
Sunrise.
Sunset.

I like what he wrote in my copy of the book.
"May the pictures in this book inspire all of us to treasure every moment of our lives with our friends and loved ones.."
Unfortunately, not many of us has learnt to do that yet.

Ok, I admit I am still sore over what one of my fren said to me.
"I can only appreciate once I lost that person/thing".

He has lost some since then.
But has he learnt to appreciate them yet?

(check out the collections at www.alexsohphotography.com)

p/s:
For those who have been asking about my tooth, thanks for yr concern.
I have gotten a second opinion and the costs falls within the same range.
I am still undecided whether to go ahead with the treatment because of the high cost.
But I may just take my cousin's advice to get it corrected before it get worse and I have to spend even more.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!!

That's the theme for my little nephew's year end concert.
It's truly quite a sight to see the little ones decked out in their cute costume.
Everyone was going "ooh-aahh" when they see their kiddo on stage.

Bumble bees, red and black ants, butterflies, lady bugs and dragonfly.
The insects kingdom are dancing and singing praises to the Lord.

My little nephew is a bumble bee.
He look like he is having so much fun swaying away.
Though at times, he seems to have forgotten his steps.
Not that it matters to us anyway.
We were extremely forgiving today. Haha.

A skinny bumble bee without its wings. Haha.

Let everything that has breath, including the one typing this, praise the Lord for ..
:: His unchanging and perfect love for me
:: His patience towards a disobedient me
:: His comfort whenever I feel lost and confused
:: His sacrifice for me on the cross

Lord, I am forgetful sometimes.
Remind me daily that every breath that I have is a gift from You.
Teach me, therefore, in every of my waking moments.
To praise you because of WHO you are and for WHAT you have done for me.
