I have been observing my extended family at the wake.
I must say that Chinese are very superstitious.
They read too much into every single thing - even if there's a logical explanation to it.
When things seems a little out of the norm, they would credit it to some "force" that is behind it.
Even if they can't prove the "force", they rather go hush-hush about it then offend it.
Maybe it is our fear of the unknown.
The fear of not being able to be in control.
And so we look high and low for someone (or something) to explain it.
It gives us much assurance when we can tag a reason to the cause.
Is that what we call faith or blind faith?
